Who We Are
They could cut the program.
They couldn’t cut the wrestler.
— Jesse Vasquez & Remy Murillo

Our Story
Future Champions began with a promise between wrestlers who lived what happens when the rooms that raised you disappear. Remy wrestled his way into a full college scholarship and watched his school cut the program. I won four state titles and wrestled Division I at the highest level, and wrestling paid for every degree I hold. The lesson was the same: talent is not enough without a room that holds you.
So we built the room.

The Mission
Wrestling is the pathway. College is the destination.
Too many talented kids in our community fall through the cracks between the classroom and the street. Future Champions Elite gives them a room, a standard, a family and a path. We use wrestling to keep kids off the street and in a safe, structured, faith-centered environment, and we point every athlete toward the real prize: a college scholarship, a degree and a career.
Wrestling paid for my bachelor’s degree and my MBA. I want it to open the same doors for every kid who walks through ours. It is bigger than wrestling. This is why we wrestle.
Vision
Every kid trains. Nobody asks what your family makes.
To be the home base for the Inland Empire’s elite kids: a championship-level wrestling club and sports performance headquarters that grows into a multi-sport facility, run by coaches who care about the person before the athlete.
Todo niño entrena. Nadie pregunta cuánto gana tu familia. El futuro de ningún niño debe depender de una línea de presupuesto.
Values
Faith
We believe every kid has God-given potential.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
Family
The room is a family. Parents, coaches and athletes lift each other up.
Discipline
Show up, work hard, do it right, do it again. Excellence is a habit.
Respect
For coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, parents and the facility.
Legacy
What we build and who we bring with us matters more than any title.
“Iron sharpens iron.” — Proverbs 27:17

Leadership

Founder, President and Head Coach
Jesse Vasquez Jr.
Jesse Vasquez Jr. is a four-time California state champion from the Inland Empire. A two-time Super 32 finalist and USA Folkstyle national champion, he went on to Arizona State, where he won the 2024 Pac-12 title at 141 pounds, helped ASU to a Pac-12 team title and a top-five NCAA team finish, and qualified for the NCAA Championships. He finished his career at Cal Baptist and has represented Mexico internationally. Wrestling paid for his bachelor's degree from Arizona State (Psychology and Business) and his MBA from Cal Baptist, and he is the first in both sides of his family to earn a bachelor's and a master's degree. He founded JV GOLD LLC and Future Champions to give kids the same pathway.

Co-Founder and Coach
Remy Murillo
Born and raised in the Riverside and Inland Empire wrestling community. Wrestled his way into a full college scholarship, then watched his university cut the program — the reason Future Champions exists.
What We Are Building Toward
A multi-sport home for the Inland Empire’s kids.
Wrestling is the doorway. The facility opens to more programs as we grow — so we can serve more kids, and so no kid’s future depends on a budget line.
